Sometimes I drive through the town of Windsor on the way to and from work. A company called Vestas manufactures blades for wind turbines there. The web site says they employee 650 people in the plant. Usually I see a big oversized truck loaded with a blade trying to negotiate the turns on the road (the blades are huge), but this morning there were close to a hundred blades loaded on railroad flats next to the road. Not that great of a picture, but might give some idea (I WAS driving after all). Interestingly enough there are a lot of people in my office working on environmental impact statements for prospective wind farms in Wyoming.
